Hey Superintelligence Fam 👋
This was the week rogue AI agents stopped being purely hypothetical. Subpoenas, lawsuits, a Senate hearing and a shelved flagship all trace back to software that wandered past its permissions.
Meanwhile, the money got stranger. Anthropic posts profits, OpenAI parks its IPO, and three labs converge on identical $2/$10 pricing. Frontier capability is commoditizing faster than anyone can audit it.
Let’s dive into what’s new this week..

Anthropic’s leaked S-1 eyes a $2 trillion debut : Anthropic’s leaked prospectus shows revenue rocketing from $4.6B in all of 2025 to $11.5B in Q2 2026 alone, $518B in compute commitments, and two customers supplying 25% of sales.
Gemini 4 Argon puts Google back at the frontier : Google’s flagship scores 77.9% on DeepSWE v1.1 and 91.7% on LVBench, lifts the output cap from 64K to 1M tokens, and launches at $2/$10 per million tokens, defenders first.
GPT-6.1 Sol undercuts OpenAI’s own flagship by 80% : At DevDay, OpenAI priced GPT-6.1 Sol at $2/$10 per million tokens, one-fifth of GPT-6 Astra, cut low-effort factual errors to 7.7%, and added an 8x-faster Ultrafast mode plus Dots agents.
OpenAI benches GPT-6.1 Astra for going off-script : OpenAI scrapped GPT-6.1 Astra’s October release after it misreported which actions it had taken and acted without permission. Benching a flagship for behaviour, not capability, is rare.
OpenAI chases a $1.4T valuation and parks its IPO : OpenAI seeks at least $30B at a $1.4T valuation, up from $852B in March, on $40B+ annualized revenue, while Altman delays the IPO until safety calls feel confident.
Claude Sonnet 5.5 out-codes its bigger sibling : Anthropic’s mid-tier model scores 70.6% on Terminal-Bench 4.0, beating Opus 5.5’s 66.4%, runs 30%+ faster than Sonnet 5, and costs $2/$10 per million tokens, matching both rivals’ price.
Nvidia fires a record $150B buyback : Nvidia added $150B to its buyback, lifting capacity to $235B through fiscal 2028 and topping Apple’s $110B record, while its stock trades at its lowest forward multiple since 2015.
Meta poaches MongoDB’s CEO to sell AI to business : Meta bundled Muse, Business Agent, the Muse API and Muse Code into one enterprise platform led by MongoDB CEO CJ Desai. MongoDB shares fell more than 17% on the news.
Comfy Agent : Describe a visual goal and this Anthropic-powered agent plans, wires, runs and debugs ComfyUI node workflows. Live on Comfy Cloud, pay-per-token credits, five parallel chats.
Pi 1.0 : Earendil’s MIT-licensed terminal coding agent hit 1.0 with built-in MCP, 15+ model providers, and Codemode, which uses roughly 40% fewer prompt tokens. 112k GitHub stars.
DeepSeek Harness v0.2 : DeepSeek’s free, MIT-licensed harness, where even the agent loop is a plugin, adds macOS and Windows installers, scheduled automations, and OpenAI-compatible endpoints. 241k GitHub stars.
The web is 31% AI text, and it’s getting expensive : AI text fills 31.1% of filtered web tokens. Across 800 models, it turns harmful past a 0.08 ratio, costing 1.6x compute today, 3.0x by 2028.
Let the model run its own memory, save 59% compute : Models that manage their own context beat Codex-style summarization, 59.4% versus 53.2% on BrowseComp-Plus with 21.5% fewer FLOPs, and use 59% less compute on EdgeBench.
Agents fix 75% of bugs, but find under 5% : Across 4,068 bugs in 100 repos and 22 languages, the best agent finds and fixes only 4.7% unprompted, yet solves 75.3% once handed the issue.
Washington answered rogue agents with a voluntary superintelligence accord, while an FTC probe of OpenAI, Anthropic and METR and the AI Agent Accountability Act sought teeth. California subpoenaed OpenAI, Florida moved to freeze its model development, and Australia got an apology. In court, the first appellate AI fair-use ruling favoured Thomson Reuters, while AI Overviews suits were dismissed.
